The cavoodle coat is a poodle cross, and it behaves like one: soft, curly, forgiving to look at and quick to matt if it's left too long. We groom that coat every single day. Bring us your cavoodle and it leaves comfortable, tidy, and finished the way you asked.

A cavoodle is a Cavalier crossed with a poodle, and the coat can land anywhere between the two: loose waves, tight poodle curl, or a mix down the same dog. That coat holds a beautiful shape, but it also traps. Behind the ears, under the collar and harness, in the armpits and along the back legs, it knots quietly until a brush won't pass through it.
Most salons treat every breed the same and reach for the clippers when a coat gets tricky. We chose the opposite. When you work with poodle and oodle coats all day, you learn where each one matts, how much length it can carry, and how to keep the curl instead of shaving it off. Your cavoodle gets that attention, not a rushed compromise.
Coat-health first, hand-scissored where it counts, finished to the look you actually want.
The rounded face and soft, even body most cavoodle owners picture. It's hand-scissored, not rushed off with a clipper, so the shape sits right and grows out kindly.
A proper wash and blow-dry, full brush-out, nails, ear clean, sanitary trim and paw pads. The parts that keep a dog comfortable, done every time, not on request.
A Full Groom for a clean all-over tidy, a Style Trim for a scissored finish, or the Asian Style for a rounder, fluffier shape. Tell us the length you like and we'll match it.
Coat-health always comes before a fast finish. If your cavoodle has matted, we work to what's kind for the dog rather than pulling knots that hurt, and we'll always talk you through it first.
Most cavoodles do best on a full groom every four to six weeks. Leave it much longer and the coat starts to matt at the friction points, which means a shorter cut to keep the dog comfortable rather than the length you wanted.
Between grooms, a quick brush two or three times a week through the legs, behind the ears and under the harness keeps knots from setting in. Busy weeks happen and coats grow anyway, so if it's been a while, just bring them in. We'll get them comfortable again, no judgement. If keeping to a rhythm is the hard part, The Poodle Club books each groom in for you at a members' price, so it's simply handled.
Most cavoodles are a small or medium dog (roughly 5–15kg), so these are the tiers you'll usually be in. Final price depends on size and coat condition, and we'll confirm it before we start.

Every four to six weeks for a full groom keeps the coat comfortable and the shape you like. A quick brush a few times a week between visits, especially behind the ears and under the harness, stops matting from setting in.
Yes. We put the dog's comfort first, so a badly matted coat may need a shorter cut rather than a painful de-matting. We'll always look at the coat and talk you through the options before we start.
Absolutely. The rounded teddy face is one of the most-asked cavoodle finishes and it's hand-scissored, not clipped. Bring a photo if you have one and we'll match the length and shape.
We do, and an early, gentle first groom makes every groom after it easier. We keep a puppy's first visit calm and unrushed so they learn the salon is a good place to be.
It depends on size, coat length and condition, and we never rush a groom to fit the day. We'll give you a realistic time when you book and let you know if anything changes.
